About

Hi, my name is Gwilym Griffith-Jones and this is my website. I am a Kiwi currently living in Germany with my partner Merle (a graphic designer) and two kids. 2012 is about learning German and doing web development full time.

The last few years we have been living in New Zealand and I have been working at Wanaka Wastebusters as a web developer and acting as a director for Cactus Climbing Equipment I have also been working freelance under the banner “Netmechanics” for a number of clients.

I started out in business with Cactus Climbing Equipment – a Christchurch company I still own part of and was the principle designer for until 2008. Since then I have been involved with a number of hair brained schemes – racing mountain bikes, building straw and clay houses, robot manikins and blowing up snow amongst other things.

I love making things work, and I seem to be suited to trouble shooting the wide array of technologies in today’s web environment.

My strengths are HTML/CSS/JS/Jquery, principally my work lately has been building custom front end themes for WordPress, Prestashop , Drupal and other CMS systems. I prefer to split design and coding, either coding up other peoples designs or performing projects in two distinct phases.

No job is too big or too small – please feel free to contact me at any time.
